it dawned on me that in the implementation of a regular portrait segment to my blog, id be exposing many of my artistic short comings. in many respects the measure of a portrait's success lies in it likeness to the subject and can be instantly distinguished by the audience. so until i get better i wont specify whose portraits i will be drawing to avoid insulting anyone and embarrassing myself. so here it is, the first installment:
